Spiced Beans

1 pound can whole green beans. drained

1 pound can waxed beans

1 pound can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1/2 green pepper, thinly sliced

1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

Combine beans, green pepper and onions; pack into hot sterilized jars.

In a saucepan, combine sugar and vinegar; heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.

Bring to a boil; pour over vegetables, mix. Pour into sterilized jars and seal at once.
