Rich Chocolate Fudge

4 cups granulated sugar

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine

1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

3 bars sweet baking chocolate (approx. 4 oz)

1 jar (7oz) marshmallow creme

Tsp vanilla

1 pkg. (14 oz) chocolate chips

In large saucepan, over high medium-heat, combine evaporated milk and butter.

Cook 12 minutes or until mixture comes to full boil. stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat to medium; stirring occasionally. Boil 6-7 minutes, or until candy

thermometer reaches 228 degrees. (or small amount of mixture dropped into ice

water forms a 2 inch thread). Remove mixture from heat; gradually stir in chocolate

chips and chocolate bars until melted. Stir in marshmallow until well blended. Stir in vanilla.

Spread mixture into greased 13-9 inch baking pan. Cool completely at room temperature.

 

This fudge is worth every minute it takes to make it. Enjoy!!
