Reindeer Stroganoff

2 lbs tender reindeer steak, cut into 1x1x4 inch strips

Bacon grease

1 cup beef bouillon

1 thinly sliced onion

1.2 cup chopped green pepper

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp sweet basil

1 cup wild or canned mushrooms

2 cans cream of mushroom soup

Brown meat in bacon grease until done on all sides.

Pour off excess fat; add remaining ingredients and simmer,

covered for 40 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
