Mango Sorbet

2 (1 pound each) mangoes, peeled, pitted, chopped

1/2 cup sugar

6 tbsp water

2 tbsp fresh lime juice

Puree mangoes in processor. Transfer to medium bowl. Mix sugar and water in small saucepan.

Stir over medium heat just until sugar dissolves. Stir sugar syrup into mango puree. Stir in lime juice.

Chill until cold, about 1 hour. Transfer mango mixture to ice cream maker and process according to

manufacturer's instructions. Transfer sorbet to bowl. Cover; freeze until firm.

Note: reduce the sugar in this recipe by substituting SPLENDA brand sugar substitute.
