How to Make Your Own Bread Crumbs
Soft crumbs:
Tear slices of fresh bread into quarters. Place a few at a
time in blender container; cover and blend until coarsely;
or tear bread into crumbs. Each slice makes about 3/4 cup
soft crumbs.
Fine dry crumbs:
Oven toast stale breat at 300 degrees till crisp and dry. Crush with
rolling pin. Or, add to blender container a little at a time; cover
and blend till finely crushed. Each slice makes about 1/4 cup
fine dry crumbs.
Buttered Crumbs:
Add 1 tbsp melted butter to 3/4 cup soft crumbs or 1/4 cup
fine dry crumbs. Toss to combine.
