Heavenly Jam

3 pounds ripe peaches, peeled and chopped

6 cups sugar

2 oranges

4 oz jar maraschino cherries

Day before, combine peaches and sugar. Cover; let stand overnight.

Next day, quarter oranges; remove seeds. Put oranges through medium

blade or meat grinder or food processor. Drain cherries; reserve syrup;

chop cherries. Put peaches and liquid, oranges, cherries and cherry

syrup in a large pot. Bring to a boil; cook over medium heat for 1 hour;

stirring occasionally. Pour into sterilized jars and seal at once.
