Fried Shrimp
1 1/2 lbs cleaned raw shrimp
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup ice water
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Dry shrimp thoroughly between paper towels. Combine remaining
ingredients for a batter. Mix just enough to blend; don't overwork.
Dip shrimp into batter. Fry in deep, hot oil for 2-3 minutes.
Drain and serve at once.
