Cranberry Applesauce
6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup cranberries
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Steam apples and cranberries in the water. Reduce heat and simmer covered until
apples are very soft. Add sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon. Stir well. Transfer to a
bowl. Cover and chill. Makes 4 cups.
I make this recipe even healthier by using SPLENDA brand sugar substitute
instead
of sugar.
