Chili

2 tbsp bacon fat (or vegetable oil)

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 lb ground beef

1 chopped onion

1 chopped green pepper

1 large can tomatoes

2 tbsp brown sugar

2 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 can red kidney beans

Melt the fat and oil in a pan. Add ground beef and brown lightly.

Add rest of the ingredients (except for the kidney beans) and simmer

for 45 minutes. Add beans and heat thoroughly.
